Moulana Banglori first moharram 2005
[Pickthal 62:1] All that is in the heavens and all that is in the
earth glorifieth Allah, the Sovereign Lord, the Holy One, the Mighty,
the Wise.
[Pickthal 62:2] He it is Who hath sent among the unlettered ones a
messenger of their own, to recite unto them His revelations and to
make them grow, and to teach them the Scripture and wisdom, though
heretofore they were indeed in error manifest,
[Pickthal 62:3] Along with others of them who have not yet joined
them. He is the Mighty, the Wise.
Man should recognize who he is and who the prophet is. Allah says the
Prophet does tasbeeh. Tasbeeh in arabic means to keep bad things away from someone. Accepting Allah is doing tasbeh of Allah. if you look at a small leaf it is making you recognize Allah. thus recognizing Him is tasbeeh. Allah states that the entire universe is doing his tasbeeh. Allah states that the universe is doing his tasbeeh. Reading dua is different and doing dua is different. If you read dua e kumail you
will get tired by the end of the dua. Sometimes people ask me to give them at least 10 minutes time at the end of dua e kumail so that they can do dua and ask Allah. Had they known the meaning of Dua E Kumail they would have realized that in the dua they have asked Allah for all that they need. If you know the meaning uf dua e kumail then you are doing it or else you are simply reading it. Thus if you do tasbeeh of Allah you will not critique anyone as you will recognize him as a creation of Allah. By recognize in the other person as such you will act humbly. Allah has said that the best person he has created is our Prophet Mohammed. The most superior creation is the Prophet and Imam Ali is his soul.
The ayat then gives the attributes of Allah. Khuddus means that He can never be impure. Aziz means the honored implies that he is all powerful as you cant be
honored without power.
Sometimes you question why did Allah send the tsunami. Why did he let the people die in Bosnia? We see the people dying and feel sad for this. Allah on the other hand sees other things. He sees your souls dying and has stated over and over in the Quran ihat if we lose faith he will replace us with one better than us. A creation that will praise Allah and remember him as opposed to those who sin as they have
forgotten Allah.
The next ayat states that He is sending a messengr from among people of Madina. This person will do the tilawat of the Quran. Is there any benefit to reciting the Quran. The quran is in Arabic. You have to learn the Quran to benefit fröm it. By unperstanding it you get Irfan. Thus when Allah says that he is sending a messenger with the Quran to us he implies that we should listen and understand and follow the message.
Aluama Tusi has researched on many topics including music. Hs has defined the bad music. Halaku Khan knew him. He stated that birds and all beings have music. He classified all the kinds of music. Allama Tusi defined bad music or ghina. To give you an example. All of us have noticed in America youth listening to rock music at traffic lights. The kids here listen to Rock and in the process the music
shakes their car and they shake and move in time to the music. They enjoy it and the music leads them to bad things and therefore it is haraäm. If I listen to the same music, it annoys me so it is not haraam for me. If the music makes you behave like those who listen to music at traffic lights loudly and dance with it then it is haraam. Even melodius quran recitation brings birds down from the skies to listen
to the pleasant voice of the reciter. Allah has given warnings of even such recites of the Quran on the day of judgement they will be treated harshly.
In the history of Islam we have examples of people who listened to the Quran and accepted Islam as a result of this. The second caliph had gone to the Prophet's house kill his sister. There he hears the recitation of the Quran and instead of killing her accepts Islam. The ayat states the Prophet does taskiyah to their nafs. Taskiyah of an animal is to slaughter it as prescribed by Allah this food is now
halaal. In comparison to this if the same animal is killed in a manner not prescribed by Allah then that animal is haraam and we are forbidden from eating its fleash. If the Prophet does taskiyah of our nafs then we are capable of return ing to Allah. The Quran has stated in many places that we are from Allah and to him we shall return. If the Prophet does not do taskiyah of our nafs then we are unable to
return to Allah.
The ayat states that the prophet is teaching them the book and wisdom. Thus it is evident the prophet was given an entire book. Those who claim later that they complied the Quran are in error. The Quran itself states that the Prophet was given a book. Imam Ali has said that Allah has distributed very little wisdom. Wisdom is therefore a rare and valuable thing. Ibne Abbas states that 9/10 of wisdom is with Imam Ali. The Prophet stated that you gain wisdom by using intellect and experience. Imam Ali states that the Prophets help men bring forth wisdom using their mind. If you keep a man in solitude and then give him a computer he will be unable to use
it. If man uses his intellect and explores then he gains wisdom. If you use your intellect to study the history of Islam you realize the effect of actions on the soul. It is only then you realize the effects of cheating. Cheating and lying have a bad effect on ones soul.
An intelligent person is generous and humble. In the tsunami relief the rich muslim country gave 20 million dollars and a small country gave more. Other countries gave more money but attached it to preaching and spreading religion. This is not charity in the eyes of Allah. If you give to seek the pleasure of Allah alone then this is
charity. Modesty means to give things their proper due such as looking at ones parent with love is modesty. In a similar fashion to lower your gaze when they scold you is modesty. If you misbehave with your parents then this is not modesty.
If you are tailgating a slow driver and get mad then your anger grows. Thus if a child is angry with his parents then he should be stopped. We do not follow the islamic way of bringing up children. From bith to 7 they are to be treated as kings, from 7 to 14 as slaves and from 14 to 21 as your vizer. Here children are treated as kings at all ages. They yell at their parents and are discourteous to them. This should be stopped right away. If parents are playing with their children this
is in accordance with the commands of Allah where he asks us to be kind to our children and love them. Allah did not ask our children to be like parents to their parents. Thus just because their parents play with them the children should not forget the position of the parents. In addition we should provide our youth with family values. We should have our children learn from the moulana or a model couple or the Prophet regarding marriage. How one should behave towards one's spouse. Marriage is a compromise. A hot-headed husbands has a compromising wife. If both parties are hot-headed and have a hot temper then this leads to trouble. Our children should be prepared for married life way before it is time for them to marry. They should be taught that in marriage the couple should recognize each other's rights. The divorce rate is high here on account of the youth and children not being educated in this aspect. I remember a case wherein a man told his would be wife that he is very religious. Soon after marraige she objected to his 'radical' and strict outlook on life. I adviced each of them to be more moderate. Look at the Prophet's life. Some of his wives were liberal and some were very conservative but
neither could criticize him due to his great balance. We should learn from this.
We should try to purify our soul during these ten days. In the way of the Ahle-Baith we should learn from their wisdom and purify our soul. Many people die in this world Bosnia the tsunami. Why dont we mourn for them. Imam Hussain gave his life for the religion of Allah. Thus we mourn him. To those who tell you that he knew of his martyrdom and yet went to kerbala. Thus he committed 'suicide'. Had he not stated
that he knew what awaits him in Kerbala they would have accused this of being only an 'accident'. Imam Hussain did not change his path to Kerbala for he was to save Islam. Had he given in to Yazid and accepted him as the leader he would have found great success in life and Islam would have become the way of Yazid. Imam Hussain is he who did not change his path for material gain and thus he alone can take
us on the right path. He did not accept the invitation of Walid to give allegiance to Yazid. When Walid summoned him to his court Imam Hussain went in the night with the youth of his family. The Brave Abbas waited outside the darbar with them while Imam Hussain went into the court. When the Imam stated that he would return in the morning to give allegiance in front of all an objection was raised stating that
the Imam should be killed now if he does not give allegiance. At this Imam Hussain raised his voice and the brave men who accompanied him rushed into the court with drawn swords. Oh on the day of Ashura -----.
